The Hall of Heroes project was launched in 2024 as an additional method for us to remember our local heroes.
We will be uploading a digital version of the Veterans Banners and adding information that is provided to us, preferably stories of their achievements and their connection to our community.

Honor a HeroThese special banners features your favorite Veteran and help sustain our efforts.We proudly display their name, rank, branch and photo throughout downtown The Dalles Until after Veterans Day.
During the off season we carefully stow away the banners for safe keeping, waiting for their legacy to be reborn next year. In addition to your veteran being displayed downtown, we are completing a digital Hall of Heroes so we can remember their stories for years to come. |
